Once again, Lounge on the Farm will take over the fields of Canterbury over the second weekend in July. With acts such as Ellie Goulding and The Vaccines headlining, as well as many more acts, the 10,000 strong crowds will not be disappointed.

The tickets begin at £111 for an adult weekend camping ticket, with discounted tickets available for students, youths and children. With a deposit scheme also offered to help with the financial side of things.
Unlike other traditional festivals, Lounge on the Farm is advertised for all the family, with a special area called ‘Little Lounge’ for the children. The website promises “an array of games, activities and general farm-yard mayhem”.
It’s not only music that will be enjoyed however; there is also comedy and theatre. In previous years, they have had acts such as Phil Jupitus and Howard Marks.
As it is a local festival, the food and drink are sourced from farms and establishments and only the best products are selected. This years highlights include “Al’s Hog Roast with his hand reared and slaughtered pigs, Ana our Portuguese Mama with her delicious custard tarts and sweet pastries, Enzo’s Italian Bakery, Roots n Shoots (no festival goer should attempt a full lounge weekend without a revitalising stop at this kitchen) and the festivals two very own Farmhouse restaurants – the Ale and Pie House and The Faraway Restaurant.”
With Canterbury being a largely student populated city, the festival offers the perfect opportunity to unwind after the exam period and promises to be a busy weekend for all.
